Opened in 1998, the National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia is a world class specialty museum displaying some of the rarest guns in the world, including a $1.5 million dollar shotgun, Annie Oakley’s rifle, John Alden’s gun which accompanied him on The Mayflower, and more than 2,000 historic firearms spanning 600 years.
Housed in fourteen galleries, the museum provides an historic retropsective of American history through an important cultural artifact….the gun.
